TV sets are cheap now. Get an old one (not HDTV compatible) from a local store. They will be happy to unload it. Better yet, use this opportunity to ungrade your tv at home. Bring your old tv to the salon and buy a new one for the house.

Good idea. I was wondering why there were no tvs at target today other than the plasmas and LCD's...forgot about the big switch.

Most tv's dont have dvd players. You can purchase one for like $50...a lot less than an entire new tv
