Does Your Salon Use Training & Certification to Better Serve Your Customers?

To seek out and reward innovative tanning businesses who promote and use training and certification within their salon, American Tanning Institute has launched the Salon Excellence Award program. The award honors tanning businesses that represent a spirit of knowledge to improve the customer experience.

Unlike other awards, the ATI Salon Excellence Award is presented to salons throughout the year based on salon participation in training, education and certification. The award is NOT based on number of salons, salon size, annual revenue or types of equipment. The ATI Award is granted to those salons who participate in training and educational practices that grow and help expand the tanning knowledge of staff and consumers. Salons must also adhere to local, state and federal tanning regulations when relevant.

To be eligible for the American Tanning Institute Salon Excellence Award, an owner or manager of the salon must complete a questionnaire found at:
