Hi Dean,
I have heard conflicting reports on whether or not TA has put a "special" keyed lamp in this unit. I think not but I have not actaully seen one of the lamps yet.

I just wanted to update this thread, in case anyone else is looking for the same thing. It appears that they have made this lamp proprietary, so you must get them from TA.

It sounds like they may be using a "notched" 650w plug in lamp.

Rob, remember the lamps they used for the facials in the Sunvitale 600u? Same lamp I'm thinking.

Yes
It is the same lamp that goes into the FutureSun which is the same lamp that goes in the Sunvitale (keyed base) but it has a crazy knotch in it. I think we may be currently sending a lamp like this to Italy from our German warehouse. We should have a sample in the next week.

The base is a G12 base. Mainly used for specialty stage/studio type lamps.
BLV/Ushio makes the lamps for Tan America. It is a 600-700W G12 plug in base.

The standard plug in gy9,5 or gy9,5 keyed bases will not work.

Default What do you guys think?

So I got this recommendation from John Hayes, and I am curious to know if anyone has used these lamps in these beds and what your thoughts are about them. I am not trying to question John's expertise, I am just trying to make sure I get good lamps for my beds.
