What in store promotions have worked the best for you? And why? And how much in store did you do? Just posters or did you do coupons on the beds, have the staff wear certain shirts and buttons or what?

We started "Happy Hour Fridays" from 3-7pm and posted signs in the rooms and then at the front counter. It has worked out great us. Every Friday our numbers have increased and especially last Friday we were none stop from 3pm on. We usually close at 7pm but had people lined up and our last tanner didn't leave until just after 8pm.

Granted I can't take credit for this as I read someone elses post about doing it but it sure was/is a great idea.

Oh wow.. do you offer anything free, like non alcoholic margs or anything?

No, no beverages just free water but we do that all the time anyway. Not a bad idea to have non alcoholic ones though, I'll look into doing that especially with the holiday's coming up.

We do 1/2 off any single session or mist and 1/2 off upgrades. Has worked out really well because we have a lot of people bring in friends during that time which then they turn into regular customers. Original plan was to do it in Oct. but seeing its going so well I plan on extending it through the end of the year.

I'm starting to do half price upgrades 9-noon, mon- Fri because thats my slowest time. It will be on our coupons going out next week. I love the happy hour idea though. Maybe starting in June!
