This is just my opinion - but I say unless you are in a college town or have a predominantly young crowd, move away from the beach, tropical, bright and/or loud salon.
I think most high end salons are moving more toward the day spa look. Darker colors, mood lighting, quiet surroundings. Ours has a Tuscan theme that was the brainchild of the orignial owners and she hit it on the head. Everyone else in town, at the time and still today, all have very loud bright salons. Again - this is just my opinion and i'm not knocking the salons out there that are tropical with loud colors. I've seen some that look fantastic!! |

I agree! I have a look but I can't quite put my finger on it... I am not sure what you'd call it. If it is tropical, it's not tiki hut style, it's just classy. I have a plam, dark stained chairs, but I do have my hawaiian girls. It's warm and inviting and feels like a spa. My landlord says he feel like he is in the Four Seasons lobby on a tropical retreat, I say thanks but I know that isn't true!! LOL
