My brothers liver
So my brother had some tests done and they found weird enzymes in his liver. They told him to lost 25 lbs in 6 weeks (he is a big guy) so see if it's his weight affecting his liver or if it is something more serious. Should I make him do the detox? It cleanses your liver right?

Weird enzymes? You mean elevated enzyme levels? Does he drink a lot? (any)
Could be nothing. I have seen it when someone had high ggt and sgot levels and, when they did a biopsy, it turned out to be nothing. Still best to get it checked out.

Also, I wouldn't do anything off the wall to try to effect the numbers. Tell him to lose the weight and get another blood test. Watch his diet and cut out the alcohol, if he drinks at all.

yes, elevated enzyme levels...he doesn't drink alot but he does prob once a week, he seems to be trying to lose weight and I'm sure he stopped drinking (he lives with my mom and she will kill him lol) , I'm just worried he will lose interest like he always has in the past.
