I wanted to share this in case others were have some of the same symptoms and not relating it to the detox.... And maybe Kathe, you can elaborate on some of the stuff we talked about on the phone yesterday...
I am half excited and half scared of what is to come... I started my first detox May 9th. The effects right away seemed to be good. My stomach seemed smaller at first and I even lost a few pounds. About a week and a half later, my face started breaking out something fierce! And as the days went on I started feeling tired, bloated, even nauseous. I though for sure I was pregnant!! I even gained a few pounds. I was going crazy peeing on many many tests. Turns out I am not pregnant but the symptoms still persisted. Right around June 9th I started my second detox. By this point I am still bloated, my hair is falling out, I am still tired, etc.. By the end of June I am thinking there is something really wrong with me. I am not really thinking it's the detox itself...but maybe whatever is wrong with me is being brought out by the detox - like I was so toxic, it was covering up whatever deadly disease I have (LOL I know a little dramatic...) So I go to the doctor June 30th. He is thinking thyroid. I am thinking he is right. I do crazy research on thyroid disorders and I did have some of the symptoms...especially the hair falling out...but not really all the symptoms. Anyway all my bloodwork comes back normal. I am defeated. I am upset. Not that I wanted anything to be wrong with me, obviously, but at least if there was something, that would be an answer and they could probably fix it. So I start thinking more about this detox and I send Kathe a PM. She says to call her, she thinks she knows what is going on. Turns out she has a client with the same exact symptoms...even as far as thinking she is pregnant. I am relieved at this point. And look forward to my next detox this week! The problem (or reason I guess) stems from Birth control pills. Kathe can probably tell it better than me but after 15+ years on birth control, the estrogen has built up in my fatty tissue (no shortage of that here LOL) and now the detox is releasing this back into my system which is now reeking havoc on my body. That's my story. |

Bless your heart, I bet you were scared! I'm so glad that Kathe could confirm the symptoms and make you feel ok about it. Losing hair would have scared the heebies out of me.

Kinda scary. Lots of nasty stuff hangs on in fat cells. Is it possible to back off the dosage for a longer and gentler detox?
I have a client who lost over 100 pounds and his doctor told him to take a break from weight loss because of similar problems. Hope this works out for you C, If this crap causes this kind of problems coming out, imagine if you let it continue to build up and stick around?

So you have been on BC for 15 years? I have been on for 10 years, do you think this would happen to me? I don't know if I'm ready for that.

Yep. This is 99.9999999% the reason people can't get in a work out mode. The detoxing stage.
weeks of feeling like you've been run over by a bus. Fun times but if you can make it through you'll feel like a million bucks. |

As females I think we generally store more junk in our fat cells anyways. But it's gotta be so extremely healthy for you to get this gunk out of your body!!! I know it's probably driving you nuts and scary but we are all here for you to help you get through!!!

Oh I have been in a workout zone since January. 4-6 days a week of stairmaster, weight training and yoga. I felt great ...the first 4 month of the year and lost 15 pounds.
Then along comes Kathe and her detox.... My workouts...what used to energize me suddenly wore me out! I am still committed to my workouts and I hope the hard work pays off soon. As I get older I eat less and less crap and become more of a freak about what goes in my body. One of the reasons I stopped taking BC pills is because it's just not natural! |

It is a crazy thing to go through and some won't continue it because it's too hard. If you do push through it you will be so much better off in the long run. My motto is better out than in.
Not only do we take in new toxins every day but those toxins get stored in our bodies. Some medicines will stay in your body forever unless you detox. They love to live in fat most of all, which makes it almost impossible to lose weight unless you detox. When going through a detox, those toxins get stirred up and into the blood stream for elimination. That can also make you feel really sick, weird, messed up, etc. This is NORMAL and is to be somewhat expected. This is especially true if you've been on synthetic hormones such as birth control or HRT (hormone replacement). Strong medicines can have the same effect. And I'm finding that those who drink/eat a lot of artificial sweeteners can get really sick from the detox. Again, this is a good thing although it may not seem so good at the time. We need to get this stuff out and keep it out, which is why Arbonne set up their detox as a monthly supplement. The most important thing to remember is that this is a good thing. Push through the bad stuff and you will be so much healthier on the other side.
