Default Low Levels of Vitamin D in Teens May Affect Lung Function

American Thoracic Society article

SAN DIEGO—Teenagers who consume low amounts of vitamin D have lower lung function than teens who get the recommended amount of the nutrient, according to a study to be presented at the American Thoracic Society International Conference on May 22nd.

I just had a customer tell me yesterday that she knows a ob/gyn that encourages his pregnant patients to tan, quoting vitamin D and states "What do you think the woman in Africa do"......maybe not the best comment to make, but glad to hear a doc support tanning!
