Vitamin D appears to cut breast cancer and colorectal cancer risk.

February 12, 2007 — Researchers say that raising vitamin D levels may prevent up to half of all breast and two thirds of colorectal cancer cases in the United States. Based on the results of 2 separate studies, the investigators recommend a daily intake of 2000 IU of vitamin D3 and, when possible, moderate sun exposure.

Just gotta wonder what the "doctors" who's "business" it is to treat those cancer patients will have to say about that report. It continues to look like all the "sun scare" tactics over the years is being proven to be WRONG and, in fact, IS whats causing people to die of certain cancers... IMHO of course.

You know all they will do is recommend those 234 glasses of milk a day, sardines until you puke, store bought supplements (which they cannot even suggest amounts of yet) and cod liver oil.
Heaven forbid they step back, think, and admit that moderate exposure to sources of UV light will do the trick.
