Default Ways to reduce your risk of melanoma

A very large study (2,992,166 people) was conducted in Sweden to determine if where you live, what you do for a living, etc. had any influence on your risk for developing melanoma. Here are some interesting facts:

Men who live in a city of 20,000-100,000 in population are 37% more likely to develop melanoma than those who live in communities under 2,000 population.

For women, those who live in a city of 20,000-100,000 are 14% more likely to develop melanoma than those in the 2,000 and under category.

Those men that work in agriculture/forestry/fishing industries are 23% LESS likely to develop melanoma than salesmen. Women in the same field are only 2% less likely.

You can see more of these statistics here.
