Click on the link below to access an article titled "Doctors balk at Cancer Ad, Citing Lack of Evidence" that "outs" the fact that (1) Neutrogena is playing fast and loose with the truth in their ads and (2) the American Cancer Society (ACS) "endorses" their ads notwithstanding the fact that they know that these ads are false, deceptive and misleading.
The "justification" given by ACS for turning a blind eye to the "little white lies" contained in these ads is (evidently) that the end justifies the means. I'm sure that the fact that ACS receives a $300,000 annual fee (in reality, a "kickback") for "endorsing" the Neutrogena sunscreens is purely coincidental and unimportant (kind of like the fact that young, beautiful women always marry rich old men is purely coincidental and unimportant-LOL). The "good news" is that the "sunscreen scandal" (i.e., the unholy alliance between the big pharmaceutical companies marketing sunscreens and the medical community) is about to explode. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/10/he...tml?ref=health
